SiPhox vs InsideTracker: the short answer

SiPhox is the better value; InsideTracker has the richer coaching layer. InsideTracker's Membership + Ultimate test costs $489 on its store (a $149 membership plus the test) for up to 48 blood biomarkers, about $10.19 per result, drawn at a Quest lab or by a mobile phlebotomist for $119 more. SiPhox charges $124 plus $25 shipping ($149) for 31 biomarkers on Longevity Essentials, about $4.81 per result, collected at home with a needle-free upper-arm device.

Test four times a year and the gap widens: roughly $1,509 with InsideTracker against $596 with SiPhox. InsideTracker's strengths are its food, supplement and exercise recommendations tied to each marker, a full blood count, magnesium and creatine kinase. Yearly cost and cost per biomarker

InsideTracker's store shows $489 for the membership plus one Ultimate test and lists the membership at $149, renewing yearly. That puts each extra Ultimate test at about $340, which is our calculation from the store page; confirm it at checkout.

Biomarker overlap

InsideTracker's published list of 48 includes a full white cell differential, red cell indices and platelets, magnesium and RBC magnesium, creatine kinase, sodium, potassium, calcium, fasting insulin, glucose, B12 and folate. SiPhox does not measure magnesium, creatine kinase or insulin (it uses C-peptide), and only offers a full blood count as a $45 add-on.

InsideTracker's list does not name Lp(a), free T3, free T4, thyroid antibodies, LH, FSH, PSA, creatinine or eGFR. SiPhox covers all of these across its panels, and Lp(a) is on the default one. Estradiol and progesterone are a checkout option on InsideTracker, which says they are offered to people who select female.

InsideTracker also notes that insulin is not tested in Canada.

Collection and convenience

InsideTracker: a venous draw at a Quest location, or a mobile phlebotomist at home or work for $119. The mobile draw is required in New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Hawaii, Arizona and Canada. InsideTracker asks you to avoid hard exercise for 48 hours before the test. Purchased tests must be used within two years.

SiPhox: an EasyDraw kit by mail. Warm the arm, attach the device, press the button, and let it fill for up to 5 minutes. Return it cold and overnight from a staffed FedEx location, Monday to Thursday. Read the EasyDraw guide first; most failed SiPhox samples come from skipping the warm-up.

Turnaround and recommendations

• InsideTracker: results within 7 business days of the draw, in a web dashboard and iOS and Android apps. The platform scores 10 healthspan categories and ranks nutrition, supplement, exercise and lifestyle recommendations by expected impact. There is no clinician review; InsideTracker encourages you to share results with your doctor. Support runs Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Eastern.
• SiPhox: results 7 to 10 days after the lab receives the sample, with an action plan, supplement suggestions and an AI assistant. No clinician review is included; a $50 results review is optional.

InsideTracker's recommendation engine is more developed. Neither includes a doctor, so discuss anything unusual with yours.

Sample type and accuracy

InsideTracker uses a standard venous draw processed at Quest, the clinical reference method. SiPhox uses capillary blood from the upper arm, sent to a CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited partner lab it does not name. SiPhox reports a 95% to 99% correlation with venous results from its own quarterly comparisons against Labcorp and Quest, but has not published a peer-reviewed study of its device. A 2025 study of a similar upper-arm device found 17 of 19 common chemistry tests within CLIA accuracy limits, with glucose and potassium the exceptions. For trend tracking that is usually good enough; for a number that could change a prescription, confirm it with a venous test.

A sensible retest plan

InsideTracker itself suggests retesting after 3 to 6 months to see whether your changes worked. At $340 or so per extra Ultimate test that gets expensive fast. A cheaper pattern is one broad panel a year (SiPhox Ultimate 360 at $274, or InsideTracker Ultimate if you want its coaching) and a smaller SiPhox panel at the in-between quarters to recheck the markers you are working on, such as ApoB, HbA1c or testosterone.

The fine print: fees, rules and limits

The row that most often decides it is "extra test". InsideTracker's first test carries the membership, and every retest after that is still around $340. SiPhox charges $124 for a new member's first core panel and $149 for every one after it, so the gap grows with every retest.

Where you can use them

InsideTracker works through Quest labs and mobile phlebotomists, but in New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Hawaii and Arizona you must pay $119 for a mobile draw. SiPhox serves every state except New York and Hawaii, plus Canada, at the same price everywhere in the US. So in New Jersey, Rhode Island and Arizona SiPhox is the cheaper route by a wide margin, and in New York InsideTracker is the only one of the two.

What customers complain about

InsideTracker had 4.0 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 617 reviews on September 29, 2026 (70% five-star, 13% one-star). Recent negative themes: emails that go unanswered, prepaid tests or plans that expired, a switch from lifetime to subscription access, requests to delete data, and results that some felt added little over a doctor's panel.

SiPhox had 4.7 from about 950 reviews (84% five-star, 8% one-star), with complaints about support response times, slow results, renewals and failed draws. Both have a support problem; InsideTracker's one-star share is higher.
