Editorial policy
Sources we use
For every service we review we start from the company's own product pages, help centre, terms and published validation data. For clinical facts, such as reference ranges and what a biomarker means, we use primary and institutional sources: peer-reviewed studies, clinical guidelines (for example the American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology), government sources such as the CDC, NIH and MedlinePlus, and major reference laboratories. Every page lists its sources at the bottom.
What we will not do
- Claim we tested something we did not. When a page is based on research rather than hands-on use, it says so.
- Invent reviewers, credentials, discount codes or savings.
- Change a score, ranking or verdict for any reason other than new facts.
- Tell you what your result means for you personally. That is your clinician's job.
Dates and prices
Each page shows the date it was last checked. Prices in this category change often, so we recheck the money pages at least monthly and whenever a company announces a change. If you see a price that is out of date, email us and we will fix it the same week.
Corrections
Send corrections to hello@homebloodtestguide.com. We correct factual errors promptly and change the updated date when we do.
